Arman Post Surgery

Arman had his tonsils and adnoids removed last Friday and is in recovery mode as we speak. We thought if we put up the Christmas tree it would take his mind off of the awful pain (I know - I just had mine removed three weeks ago!) Despite how he looks in the picture below, he was really excited. His face is all red and swollen as he had a reaction to his pain medication.
One week after the surgery, he is nearly back to his old self...as you can see, he dislikes getting his picture taken.
I caught this picture of Arman right as he was about to jump on me to grab the camera away! What am I, the paparazzi? :-)
AND on a really good note, as I was uploading the pictures for this blog, Arman went to the bathroom and pee'd into the potty for the very first time!! Hurray!

The wildlife at Angelo Drive

Last weekend, we had the opportunity to experience nature at its best. It happened to be mating season and two bucks came out to our backyard to duke it out. As you may know, Arman loves when he sees "Ahoos" (deer in farsi) so he was more than excited.

Day Trip to Eau Claire, WI

Arman and Mommy took a road trip to Eau Claire, WI today to see Aunt Lisa and Grandma Klar. Uncle Darin and Grandpa Klar were both hunting, so the ladies (and Arman) decided to get together. We met in the mall....and pretty much shopped the entire day! It's not even Thanksgiving yet, but it seemed like Christmas in the mall. Below is a HUGE rotating Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.

Some of you may not know that Arman has a fear of "mall cars" after a not so fun incident and Chuck E Cheese. He surprised us all today by running into this helicopter and reaching out his hand to Aunt Lisa and asked "monies".....Oh, boy.....the "terrible two's" have begun!

The Family Birthday Party

I'm finally getting around to updating the blog with pictures of Arman's birthday party with the family. Yep - he had two birthday parties in the same day! (That means TWO birthday cakes!)

Happy Birthday, Arman!!

Arman is turning two years old on November 14th. He had two parties last Saturday to help celebrate the big event. The first party was for all of his little friends. They ate pizza, made art with stickers and ate yummy cake! In the evening, we had a party for the family. I will post those pictures in a future blog.

Halloween!!

Right before we headed out for Trick or Treating, Arman became a little bit apprehensive and decided he would take off the M&M gloves and just hang out on the sofa.

This picture was taken after we returned from Trick or Treating and this time, he was nervous about where his candy went! He is pictured below with Calvin (Darth Vader) and Ryan (A Zoologist).

Grandma Vedadi's Birthday

This weekend we went over to Grandma and Grandpa Vedadi's to celebrate Grandma's birthday. Below - Uncle Reza and "Jamshid" - who is Grandpa, but Arman only refers to him as Jamshid!

Weekend at Wilderness Walk

This weekend, we headed back up to Hayward, WI to visit Wilderness Walk. In the below picture, Arman is in utter shock that there is a HUGE deer ahead...and not caged!

And here is the huge buck that he was pointing at earlier. Grandpa carried him over to the deer so he could get a real good look. Check out Arman's face - he still cannot believe his eyes!

A successful haircut...finally

Arman went in for his 4th ever haircut last night. As some of you may have heard, Arman does not enjoy getting his hair cut. This time, we ended up going to our neighbor's barber shop and we had a very successful haircut. There was only about a minute of crying....then he calmed down and by the end of the haircut he was even laughing! Thanks, Steve for giving Arman such a great experience.
After the haircut, Arman was in a good mood...good enough to share a slice of "cheese" (Kraft Singles) with his best pal, Misha.
